Terms & Conditions

Last updated 4 November 2026.

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of www.consultmates.com (the "Website"), operated by Consultmates UK ("Consultmates", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17355827. By using the Website you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. About us

Consultmates UK is a business advisory firm offering services including business and franchise advisory and strategy, UK market entry, digital transformation, branding, customer acquisition and partnerships. You can contact us at hello@consultmates.com. Registered office: 66 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NA (registered postal address only — we work with clients remotely).

2. Information only, not professional advice

Content on the Website, including articles, insights and service descriptions, is general information only. It is not legal, tax, accounting, immigration, financial or investment advice and should not be relied on as such. You should get advice suited to your own circumstances before acting on any information.

Consultmates is not a law firm, accountancy practice or immigration adviser. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and do not give regulated investment advice, arrange regulated investments or handle client money. Where a matter requires a regulated professional, we will refer you to an appropriately qualified provider.

3. Our services

Nothing on the Website is an offer to provide services. Any services we provide are governed by a separate written proposal or engagement letter that sets out the scope, deliverables, timings and fees. If there is a conflict between these Terms and an engagement letter, the engagement letter applies.

A free initial consultation, where offered, is an introductory conversation and does not create a client relationship or any obligation on either side.

4. Enquiries

When you send us an enquiry, you confirm that the information you give is accurate and that you are authorised to share it. We aim to reply promptly but do not guarantee a response time. We handle the information you send in line with our Privacy Policy.

5. Using the Website

You agree not to:

  • use the Website in any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful way;
  • send spam, malicious code or unsolicited marketing through our forms;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers or any connected database;
  • copy, scrape or reuse Website content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Website at any time, for example for maintenance or security reasons.

6. Intellectual property

The Website and its content, including text, graphics, the Consultmates name and logo, and the overall design, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal or internal business use. Any other use requires our written permission. Partner names and logos belong to their respective owners and are shown with their permission.

7. Partners and third-party websites

The Website features and links to partners and other third parties. Partners are independent organisations and, unless stated otherwise, are not owned by or acting on behalf of Consultmates. We are not responsible for the content, products, services or privacy practices of third-party websites. Any dealings you have with a partner are between you and that partner.

8. Awards and testimonials

References to awards, memberships and results describe past achievements. They are not a guarantee of future results, which depend on each business's circumstances.

9. Accuracy and availability

We take care to keep the Website accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, error-free or always available. We may change or remove content at any time without notice.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Website or its content, including loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity or data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our liability for services is set out in the relevant engagement letter.

11. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal data and cookies. They form part of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you use the Website applies, so please check it regularly.

13. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising from them, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
